SSC #137 Happy Heart Day With Sock Monkey

In Playing along with Stamping411 I grabbed my sock monkey stamp set and made a  pink sock monkey. I used the Sweet Pea DSP, 5/8″ Satin Ribbon in whisper white, a button and some linen thread. It didn’t turn out exactly how I expected it to. tomorrow is another day : )

Stamping 411 Sketch 136

Here is the sketch for Stamping 411’s Saturday sketch.
And here is the extra simple card I made using  the Sweet Pea DSP, And the  extra large two-step bird punch, scallop trim border punch , two brads and three dew drops ( thank you Kathy!)  the dew drops look darker in the picture than they are. I do not know why.  I added a few of the branches layered them on top of one another for dimension. This was a quick and easy card to make.

Oldie But Goodie Waterfall Card

Thought I’d bring back the waterfall card. I just love what you can do with them. This one is for a friend. I left the bottom blank so I can write a note on it. But you could also stamp a fun greeting in that spot. Another idea is to make the water fall card with pictures of loved ones. There’s many themes in which this card would be perfect for.

Waterfall-Card Directions

I also made a cute MatchBox Bottom and Sleeve  to hold a truffle. I used the stampin’ Up! heart punch to punch out the top so it’s see through and added some acetate. quick and simple!

I used the free sale-a-bration set Whimsical Words.Using the stamp-a-ma-jig I inked up a few words at a time to get a few on each square using my stampin’ write real red marker.

Shop on my on line web store . Spend $ 50.00 and you can receive the whimsical words stamp set or another product of your choice from the sale-a-bration brochure

I found a video tutorial on line at You tube that will make it easy for you to follow along and make your own waterfall card.  So just click here to get started if you’ve never made your own waterfall card.

Valentine Heart Pouch and Two Cards

I made the heart pouch to tuck some chocolate into and it was a real quick and easy project.

First I printed and cut out the Heart pouch Template, put it together . Then I punched two holes in the side to add the ribbon. After that I grabbed a piece of the Naturals White cardstock and crumpled it until I achieved the look I wanted.I then used the Eyelet Border punch on the crumpled cardstock and added it to the top edge of the pouch. I think it ended up looking like ruffled lace. To finish the pouch I adhered a flower and leaves from the Sweat Pea Stitched Felt collection. I wanted to keep it simple and show off the paper.

Help For Haiti With I {Heart} Hearts

As we know on January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I really want to help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this earthquake.

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set sold will be donated by Stampin’ Up! to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

This time is no different.

The corporate team of Stampin’ Up! has already been getting to work with the relief effort.  In addition to donating a portion of sales, Stampin’ Up! bought supplies for 5,000 hygiene kits to be sent to the Haitian people. See how they turn the Stampin’ Up! Distribution Center into a huge assembly line.

Thinking Of You & A Flower For All Seasons

A Flower for All Seasons

I still love the stamp set and I don’t think I would ever part with it. I seem to catch myself saying that a lot when it comes to my Stampin’ Up! stamps.  I’ll bet those of you who have this set will hang on to it as well.

I had fun with the sale-a-bration free Scallop Trim Border. And the occasions mini Scallop Trim Corner punches. I also couldn’t resist add some Frost White Shimmer Paint . . Which by the way is still available.  In the same three colors that were available in the Holiday Mini Catalog .

I used the Stampin’ Up stamp set A flower for all seasons

Paper used: Tea party DSP , Whisper White and Almost Amethyst

Ink: Black Staz-on , Pretty In Pink, So Saffron and Almost Amethyst And Frost White shimmer Paint

Scallop Trim Border Punch & Scallop Trim Corner Punch

I colored some white grosgrain ribbon with a sponge and Almost Amethyst ink And added a button from the Sherbet designer buttons. And I added some stitching.

Champagne  Mist #116806

  Frost White #116854

Platinum #116807

shimmer paint adds a vibrant dimension that enhances the look of anything without actually changing its basic appearance.
It’s pigment ink, so you can do almost anything with it that you can do with ink—you can stamp with it, cover an entire section of card stock or paper with it, or apply it over a stamped image or Rub-On. Apply it with a sponge or sponge dauber directly to a stamp or paper. If you click on the card you’ll be able to see it a bit better. It’s a fun product and makes everything shimmer….. gorgeous!
