My Brayer & Stampin’ Up! Autumn Days

This is my very first ever attempt at using the brayer to make a background scene. Okay. So , I need some more practice. But I’d say it’s not too shabby for my first attempt. I had a lot of fun with it… That’s what counts. . . . . Right?

I also added some linen thread.  I could have went on to add a brad, button or hardware.  maybe I will. looking at it . . seems it could use that added touch.

heart the perfect details texture plate as well. I just spritzed up the cardstock with alcohol before running it through my big shot. It really makes a difference.

Mojo Monday 105 Lovely As A Tree

Here’s This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch

Mojo105Sketch

I used the Oak leaves and acorn from the Stampin’ Up! stamp set Lovely As A Tree. And the designer series paper  Autumn Traditions , Soft Suede , More Mustard and Kraft cardstock. Used the 1-3/8″ and 1-1/4″  Stampin’ Up! Circle Punches  I also took some retired river rock ribbon and colored it with the Stampin’ Up! Always Artichoke Classic Ink. I’m thinking the Oak leaves don’t show up very well with this layout. maybe I’ll switch out the image later. I colored in the image with the aqua painter and Stampin’ Up! More Mustard , Ruby Red and Creamy Caramel Classic Ink.

Mojo Monday #97 Bronc Buster

Mojo97Sketch

I tried to go with a masculine look this  time around.  step out of my box a little bit. It was harder than I thought it would be. I kept wanting to bling and pretty it up. I think If I were to do this again I would choose brighter happier colors.   If I find the time in the next couple of day’s I may try this sketch again.

I used CTMH paper ( bamboo ) Stamp sets:  Bronc Buster,Fresh Fillers & A Little Something . Ink : staz on  I used the staz on to color my Hodgepodge hardware piece ( it works great) then I dusted off my sewing machine and stitched around a bit.  I also stamped the fresh fillers around the bottom half of the card. and added a couple of big brads.

thanks for looking.  If you’ve never been. You really should check out the sketches over at Mojo Monday . Once you get started with their sketches. It becomes quite addictive.  You’ll find yourself  looking forward to Monday’s!

Have a super fantastic day!

And Many Mower

And Many Mower

Many Mower Stamp Set, Rainbow Sherbet Designers Series paper , basic Black Cardstock , Circle Punches and the stamp-a-ma-jig were used for this card. I colored the picture in with the aqua painter and stampin’ Up! ink pads.

I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to make the words fit in the circle, instead of straight across.

thanks a lot for looking and have a happy day!

an-egg-cellent-easter1

I was after a card for a boy. This is what I came up with.

I used the Stampin Up stamp set  An Egg-cellent Easter anegg-cellent-easter-a

paper is from making memories. I also used the cuttlebug embossing folder strip for the zig zag sewing look.. paper pieced his vest . I used the cricut ( George cartridge  for the oval ) and then  layered the stampin up circle punches and stamped happy easter on the smallest circle. to pierce the two corners I used the stampin up mat pack.

Super Quick Guy Card

masculine

Supplies Stampin Up Nature Silhouettes, Patterned Paper , Stampin Up Chocolate Chip Ink and cardstock, Stampin Up circle punches and two brads. I paper pieced and did some sewing on this one.

Stampin Up Nature Silhouettes

This Stampin Up stamp set  Nature Silhouettes should come in handy for the masculine cards I need to get made. This is my very first attempt. I’ll have to play around with the stamps and see what I can come up with. This was quick and very easy. I made the background with a stipple brush and punched out a circle so I could stipple around it in order to get the moon.  I used the stampin up colors basic black and basic gray . the cardstock is basic black. I added a few brads and some pattern paper.
