Driving By To Say Hi!

Thanks to Patti I was able to play with one of her cartridges. I made her a card with it. and sent it to her when I returned her cartridge. Thanks Patti!! I think that car is  so cute . I saw a few  examples of them on the  internet. Where they had put the car onto a card front I wish I could remember just where this one card in particular was . Oh . .  it was gorgeous…If I find it again I’ll post the link.  But I just had to take it one more step and make mine into a   shaped card.

I used some Stampin’ Up! paper that was retired quite a long time ago…. I had been saving it for something special. I think it worked perfectly with that car. Hopefully Patti likes what I came up with using her Mickey and Friends cartridge.

Cricut Happy Birthday Shaped Card

I made this card 5-1/2 x 4 1/2 and I used the Dreams come true Disney Cartridge. It’s hidden under belle. You just hit the icon key and then the belle. and there is is. I think I am getting hooked on the shaped cards.

Glittered Candy Corn

I have seen candy corn cards and I wanted to make a bit of a girly girl candy corn card. Here’s my attempt. I freehand drew the candy corn scored the top for the fold ( I used extra heavy  card stock so it would stand up) Cut 3 layers and embossed them with the cuttlebug. I used the swiss dots for the white layer , stylized flowers for the orange layer and d’vine swirl for the yellow layer. I added glitter , ribbon and a prima. Another quick simple card.

Paper Cupcakes

I needed to make my sister in law a birthday card and wanted a shaped card so . . . . . .  I played with the cupcake theme.

Of course I used the cricut celebrations cartridge. too easy! I used some scrap leftovers for the pink one and for the other I used Bella Rose stampin up designer series paper , acouple of prima’s and felt flowers. Also I glittered em’ up ( I am addicted to glitter ) and  then I  distressed them just a tad bit. I cannot decide which one to give to her.
