Driving By To Say Hi!

Thanks to Patti I was able to play with one of her cartridges. I made her a card with it. and sent it to her when I returned her cartridge. Thanks Patti!! I think that car is  so cute . I saw a few  examples of them on the  internet. Where they had put the car onto a card front I wish I could remember just where this one card in particular was . Oh . .  it was gorgeous…If I find it again I’ll post the link.  But I just had to take it one more step and make mine into a   shaped card.

I used some Stampin’ Up! paper that was retired quite a long time ago…. I had been saving it for something special. I think it worked perfectly with that car. Hopefully Patti likes what I came up with using her Mickey and Friends cartridge.

Princess Birthday

So. I saw this happily-ever-after-box1 on the back of the Happily Ever After Cricut Cartridge. And I knew I had to make it into a card. For those of you who know me, you know why! For those of you that don’t. I collect Tiara’s and I love all things princess.

I need to make another one when I get caught up here, because I think it needs tweaking. I think the black doodle dots with glitter are a bit harsh It should be softer and more neat looking…. like a princess.

I cut the cricut die and then I took card stock and measured it to fit on the back. I scored it and applied it to the back. It stands up and it opens to say. Celebrate You!

The paper I used is basic Grey Gypsy and for the card I used Stampin Up Confetti Cream. I used the Quickie glue pen and added dots then applied black glitter and I used a couple of flowers, a brad some ric rac , some beaded trim 2 tiny heart gems and a vintage button for the top piece.

I love shaped cards and this one was fun to put together. I’ll be trying it again to see if I can achieve a softer dainty look.

Happy Go Ducky

I used the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge and the Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration designer paper , Some glossy white and black cardstock. a few flowers  and ribbon. I just wanted to make a card that said happy go ducky. It sounds cuter than happy go lucky.

Flowers

vase-1vase-2vase-3

Yesterday was a leaf raking day. Yes. It’s that time of year . . Even in South Carolina However. It was 80 degrees and we have roses in bloom.  So pretty. Anyway, When I came in I decided to pull out the Walk In My Garden Cricut Cartridge and fill a vase with flowers.

I used Deja Views paper for the first layer of the vase and Stampin Up Chocolate Chip Cardstock for the base of the card. For the flowers I used Stampin Up Whisper White, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, Groovy Guava, Almost Amethyst, Old Olive and some other scrap green. and glitter.

Tags, Bags Boxes And More treat holder

I realized that I had nothing for the couple of little ones in the neighborhood to give them for Halloween. So I grabbed the Cricut Tags Bags Boxes & More cartridge and whipped a few of these out real quick. Got to love that cartridge for a quick container. I also used the Stampin Up Batty For You rubber stamp set and two of the Stampin Up circle punches. I used Stampin Up pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Whisper white cardstock . I had some black vinal coated wire and added a few beads and some ribbon. easy, easy, easy!

Jolly Sock Monkey And His Sleigh

Heres a funny card! I used a variety of things to make it but it really was quite simple and didn’t take long at all. It seems I need to make another one though because I think it needs to be tweaked a bit. I always come up with better ideas after I finish something. I don’t know why I can’t think of them before I finish the project.

I used the cricut cartridge Christmas Cheer for the sleigh (cut with the 3 1/2″ setting on the dial ) , tree, candy cane, snowflakes and the gift  packages. I also used the Stampin Up sock monkey. and the santa hat is a random stamp I had and all It says is creative images on it. The sentiment is rub ons and the background paper is Fancy pants holly jolly line. I used Sahara Sand for the card and layered some torn  Whisper White ( both Stampin Up ) and glittered the edges on the torn white edges . I used the cuttle bug  embossing folder D’vine Swirl on the sleigh I also glittered the snowflakes that are attached to the background paper. I also lightly glittered the package bows and the white on the candy cane. The glitter never shows up on scans!

Hopefully this card is good for a giggle. CLICK ON CARD TO VIEW LARGER
