New Double Pocket Card Tutorial

This is the correct tutorial for the Double Pocket CARD. Yesterday I posted the double pocket pouch  tutorial by mistake.

The card I made for the Basic Note Card Kit With A Pocket was not the pouch it was the double pocket card. So I thought I better make a new tutorial and post it. I don’t want anyone to use the other tutorial and wonder why their card doesn’t open .

If you only want the Pocket Pouch yesterday’s post will work. sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Basic Note Card Kit with a pocket card

double-pocket-gift-card-box

I used an envelope box that the 4 3/8 X 5 3/4 envelopes  come in as a template  to make a note card kit box . It was pretty easy. I used Fancy Pants paper and some Stampin Up retired ribbon. I made a  double pocket card to go with the card kit  The packaged ribbon and the adhesive back pearls will go inside the pockets. Also shown are some additional Stampin’ Up! ribbons that will go inside the box. And finally I cut and scored some Stampin Up cardstock. The only thing I have left to do is stamp up some images and the kit will be good to go. I love the colors… So bright and cheerful!

Double Pocket Pouch Tutorial

Okay. Here’s the tutorial  for the double pocket pouch.

Start with a double-sided 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Paper. I chose Fancy Pant’s paper since it matched the box for the card kit I was making. I didn’t know how the card box would turn out. So I didn’t want to put my Stampin Up designer series paper at risk lol

Place the side that you want to be on the front of the card up. Fold the cardstock in half vertically and open, then fold horizontally and open.

Cut the left horizontal fold to the center of the paper.

im000289

Now fold the right bottom corner up to the center

im000291

Next Fold the top left hand corner down approximately 2- 3/4  inches I should have held them down because the bottom one looks crooked. It isn’t though : ) I’m sure you can get the general idea.

im000296

next you’ll want to fold the top left quarter on top of the right quarter

im000297

Fold the left bottom quarter underneath the bottom right quarter

im0002992

Fold the bottom right corner up to meet the middle horizontal fold

im0003011

Fold the bottom quarter onto the top quarter to finish. And then you’ll need to use adhesive to close the edges.

My Sister In Law Karen Walsh taught this to me quite a while back and I thought I would resurrect it!

Happy Stampin!
